It didn't take long for two teams from the National Lacrosse League to pick University at Albany standouts Merrick Thomson and Frank Resetarits in Saturday's entry draft at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

After trading up to get the second overall draft pick from the Portland Lumberjax, the Philadelphia Wings chose Thomson. Also trading up to get the fifth overall draft pick from the Chicago Shamrox, the San Jose Knighthawks selected Resetarits.
